This jazz music festival is held every year to celebrate jazz and all the musicians of this genre. This jazz festival is sponsored by Playboy, and it was founded by Hugh Hefner in 1959. The first festival was held in Chicago at a stadium in 1959. However, due to some circumstances, the festival was on pause all the way until 1979 when the festival was relocated to Hollywood Bowl in LA. From that day, each year the festival is held in that Los Angeles.
